Les Viennoiseries (Danishes) are baked goods made from a yeast leavened dough in a manner similar to bread but with added ingredients giving them a richer and/or sweeter character, approaching that of a pastry.

Viennoiseries are typically eaten at breakfast or as snacks.


Croissant
Buttery flaky pastry, named for its distinctive crescent shape

Croissant aux amandes
A Croissant filled with almond cream and sprinkled almonds

Pain au chocolat ou Chocolatine
Flaky pastry with chocolate barres

Pain aux raisins
Flaky pastry with raisins and pastry cream

Brioche fine
A highly enriched French bread, whose high egg and
butter content give it what is seen as a rich and tender crumb


Chouquette
A puff pastry or choux dough
sprinkled with sugar


Kugelhof
A ring shape cake that consists
of yeast dough which contains raisins, almonds and lemon zest

Roulés à la cannelle
Flaky pastry covered with cinnamon and sugar

Chausson aux pommes
Puff pastry filled with apple sauce

Abricotine
Flaky dough filled with pastry cream and topped with apricot

Tortillons au chocolat
Flaky dough in the shape of a twist topped with vanilla
pastry cream and chocolate chips


Lunettes
Sablee cookies filled with raspberry jam and covered with powdered sugar.
